Welcome to the Color of Success Podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Stephanie Wong. Our newest segment of the show is Weekly Reflection where we ponder a question together and I suggest an actionable item to facilitate for the reflection. Many people are reflecting on this question as more and more people experience burnout.

I continue to reflect on the answer to this question for myself. I found myself free on a Sunday, which is a rarity. I didn't schedule patients because I was planning on going to a kid's birthday party but circumstances prevented me from doing so. And I found myself by myself, actively trying not to be productive. It was extremely uncomfortable. I found myself reaching for the phone and mobile gaming or looking at random social media posts.

I started brainstorming about the podcast and other endeavors. I kick myself in the butt for finishing the Partner Track, streaming now by the way! While I always have joked that my dream is to retire by 40, I suspect that I wouldn't lay around idle. What is your answer to this question? How does this answer impact your life?

One actionable item is to schedule ideally half-a-day or a full day off. If you can't swing that for logistical purposes, perhaps try for an hour. Refrain from mindlessly scrolling on your phone, checking emails and are working on a side hustle.
